Energy efficiency in buildings
Energy-efficient construction, one would think, is now already become the standard, which seems to be so, at least in public perception. Closer examination, however, shows that important knowledge in the field of environmental and energy-efficient building design has not gotten into the vocational training areas yet. This is particularly true for the building trade and for light construction work.
For this reason, the NENA-Network has advocated that under the project ENERBUILD experts are working in the area of training to accelerate the transfer of knowledge as possible and thus enhance competition in the construction sector. Overall, the organized dissemination of knowledge on energy-efficient building is a success factor for the regional economy.
Experts from the NENA network have worked out information in the ENERBUILD project and presented them first at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver to the public. The aim of this presentation is to reinforce the image of craft in the Alps as a knowledge carrier and generally to raise awareness on the subject. Parts of the presentation of the Infopoint in Whistler can be downloaded with this link.
